Well we just found out one of our hides has been found by a muggle and destroyed. It was "Mario Bros Rocks". We heard that it hadn't been there for about a week, so we went out to find it and an old gentleman asked me if he could help me. I said, oh, we're looking for a geocache. He said, yeah it looked like a bunch of Junk to and I don't want drug dealers around here. I said, my children, nieces and nephews (we were all on bikes), aren't drug dealers, they range in age from 5-12. He said well i don't like'em. I said what do drug dealers have to do with my cache. He said well nothing, but, I wouldn't put anything around here again. I said well I won't because it sounds like even though you know what it is now and the other had instructions for muggles not to discard it and all of the toys inside it...it sounds to me like you would go ahead and throw the next one in the trash to...he said yep, I sure would. I don't like drug dealers...WOW...I didn't want children to see me disrespect someone of his age...elderly...so we got on our bikes and road home...WOW...some people.

Now they may name it Grizzly Gulch because there are Bears in that there Gulch...but I'm going to go out on a limb and say...nah...it's because the way down into Grizzly Gulch is Grizzly...straight down Grizzly. There are many of stories of peoples breaks giving out down hill and in the Summer months when temperatures are 90's and triple digits...cars in many cases overheat on the way up. The good news is that the GPS (GP5...LOL) didn't let me down. I have it set for "Fastest Route" and we did beat the rest of the traffic by about 2 miles. The other way out that everyone else took was about 7 miles. So cheers to the Garmin Nuvi and to Old Priest Grade.

We had a blast in Yosemite today. Not enough time for even one Geocache with everything we had going. We hiked and biked all day and saw many of the Waterfalls. Getting to Yosemite from Soulsbyville (Sonora) was quite interesting. When we took off it took about 25-30 miles before the Garmin Nuvi in our car said that we were supposed to not follow the rest of the traffic. OK...now when do you not follow what your GPS or GP5 tells you to do. I veered away from the rest of the traffic and followed this crazy 2.7 mile road called Old Priest Grade. Google it...it was a crazy few miles climbing 1500 feet in elevation in just a little over 2.5 miles. In many cases you were looking straight down into Grizzly Gulch.

We have been in Central California for the last several days. We've been mining for gold, visiting caverns, tunnels and all that the Gold Rush had to offer back in 1849. We have had my brother and his family up to the home in Sonora we're staying at and we've had a blast together. They have to leave today, so we're going to do a couple of Geocaches. We will write more later.

It's a beautiful, sunny morning here in Central Oregon. We will probably hide a micro cache today that Tan wants to. We cached two yesterday and one of them had a magnetic hide-a-key, so he traded what he had for that. He wants to hide it today. Wow...the two we cached yesterday were tough. They were both really hard to find and the first one was rated a 4 for Terrain and when we started down, we knew why. It was located on a 60 or 70 degree slope and you had to traverse rocks, loose gravel and we did it all with Tatey our 4 year old. It was a great cache though and the boys toughed it out. We will post more today after we hide it.

Cheers.
